Fab Hub Lyon

How can we support an open innovation model that is manufactured, regionalized and distributed in the Grand Lyon?

As part of the “Innovation Territories-Great Ambition” Program, La Métropople du Grand Lyon responded to the Call for Expression of Interest (CEI) on the theme “Industry integrated and (re)connected to its territory and its inhabitants”. Selected in January 2018 and with a view to the second phase of the call for tenders, the Metropolis asked experts to specify its offer, including ARS LONGA.

For this mission, we worked on a service offer called Fab Hub Lyon, based on the fablabs, makerspaces, hackerspaces and micro-factories of the territory. Our proposal consisted in structuring a manufacturer network to facilitate a unified and shared offer for companies, start-ups and industrial project leaders needing access to equipment, advanced skills and innovative service (monitoring, idea to object and small series).

Acting as a platform, Fab Hub Lyon has also accompanied and organized training offers to members of the network.
